Kara Brennion

Kara Brennion is a Product Security professional supporting Amgen's global efforts in Brand Protection, Illicit Trade, and Supply Chain Security. As a member of the Product Security team, she partners with internal stakeholders and external organizations to help protect Amgen's product portfolio from diversion, counterfeiting, theft, and other illicit activities through investigations, intelligence-driven solutions, audit support, and risk management initiatives.

Prior to joining Amgen, Kara worked for the British Standards Institution (BSI) as a Supply Chain Security Consultant advising global and Fortune 500 organizations on audits, risk management, and supply chain resilience. She also served as an Intelligence Analyst specializing in smuggling, cargo theft, and organized crime events in the Americas. Through these roles, she developed experience in identifying vulnerabilities across complex global supply chains and helping organizations strengthen their security through supply chain mapping. 

An advocate for innovation in security and risk management, Kara actively explores the application of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, to enhance threat visibility, intelligence gathering, and organizational resilience. She is an active member of the professional security community, serving as the ASIS Women in Security Global Vice Chair and participating on the ASIS Supply Chain and Transportation Steering Committee.
